Comenius II

This project is officially closed  - in terms of active Comenius work. However, the page remains open and we continue to contribute to it. It remains a very valid resource for a variety of school activities.

At this point we wish to express our sincerest thanks to the European Union and its COMENIUS Programme. Without that help this project - which has brought together students of 6 countries and has tought us so much -  would not have been possible.

Agde - France

Barcelona - Spain

Cracovia - Poland

Darmstadt - Germany

Rome - Italy

Istanbul - Turkey

(as an associated partner)

On this site, we will present you remarkable scientists, technologists and industrialists of our respective regions - some of which have fused their work with art. While some of those personalities are still enjoying (inter-)national recognition others are almost forgotten – but all have a direct impact on our lives.

The object of the project is to enhance :

- understanding of technological developments

- students’ (and teachers’) openness to learn

- our appreciation for a common European scientific, artistic and cultural heritage

- concrete language skills

- the understanding and use of modern tools of communication and presentation

- the diversity of methodological and didactical teaching approaches.
